By using Brier Markets (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service is a play-money skill game
Brier Markets is a free, skill-based forecasting game. No real money is wagered, won, or lost. Virtual coins ("Coins") have no monetary value. Coins cannot be purchased, transferred between users, or redeemed for cash, prizes, or other consideration of value. The Service is not investment advice, not a brokerage, not a regulated financial product, and not a price feed you should rely on for any real-world decision.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is offered only in jurisdictions where skill-based forecasting games are permitted. It is your responsibility to comply with local law.
3. Accounts
You may create one account. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that engage in sock-puppeting, coordinated trading, or other forms of abuse.
4. Fair use
You agree not to: (a) operate multiple accounts; (b) coordinate trading with other accounts to manipulate prices; (c) attempt to exploit bugs in the Coin or settlement systems; (d) scrape, bulk- download, or otherwise misuse data from the Service; (e) use the Service to harass or harm others. Coins held by accounts found in violation may be forfeit; this does not constitute a financial loss because Coins have no monetary value.
5. Settlement and disputes
Markets resolve automatically against a third-party price feed within ±60 seconds of the listed resolution time. If no price snapshot is available in that window the market is voided and Coins are refunded at average cost. We make a best effort to keep the price feed reliable but make no guarantees. Resolution decisions are final.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Because the Service involves no real money, our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to USD $0.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
