Brier Markets respects your privacy. This Policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Data we collect
Account data: email address (from email/password signup or your Google account if you use OAuth) and a username you control.
Activity data: trades you place, positions you hold, your virtual coin balance, and the timestamps of these actions. None of this is personally identifying beyond the association with your account.
Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, user agent, request path) retained for up to 30 days for abuse detection and debugging.
2. How we use it
To operate the Service: render leaderboards, settle markets, send transactional email about market resolutions. We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising.
3. Service providers
We rely on the following third parties:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting and serverless compute.
- MetaTrader 5 broker bid feed — we read price snapshots from a self-hosted MT5 instance for market resolution. No user data is shared with the broker.
- Resend — transactional email delivery. We send your email address and the market-resolution payload.
4. Cookies
We use cookies only for authentication (a session cookie set by Supabase) and basic functionality. No third-party tracking cookies.
5. Your rights
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us; this erases your account row and cascades to your trades and positions. Note that some data (anonymized aggregate stats) may persist in backups for up to 90 days before being purged.
6. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn we have, we will delete the account.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
